Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for assisting customers over the phone and in store with administrative and operational duties including merchandise handling, display, receiving, shipping, delivery preparation, maintenance, and administrative tasks.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
Administrative and Bookkeeping Functions: Answer phones, take messages, distribute/transfer calls. Assist customers and sales staff schedule pick-ups, deliveries, payments, writing and adjusting sales orders and accounts. Complete reports and scanning functions. Run/print price tags; tag merchandise. Communicate remaining tasks from morning to evening sales support. Balance cash drawer, safe, make daily cash deposits, complete cash buy requests.
Merchandise Movement: Incoming merchandise: unload, identify, inspect, tag, receive into proper locations. Move/condense existing merchandise to ensure efficient use of available space. Move merchandise to/from show floor; display or rewrap merchandise for storage, delivery, customer pickup or shipment. Outgoing merchandise: unpack, inspect, assemble, wrap merchandise to ensure it arrives at destination unblemished. Prepare merchandise for shipment or delivery picking and staging from exact locations, insuring no damage occurs. Load/secure merchandise in vehicles for customer pickup or delivery in corporate or vendor trucks. Work safely to avoid personnel injury or damage to merchandise or equipment during merchandise movement and inventory maintenance processes. Complete/return paperwork, verify order accuracy, paid orders, signatures. Use point of sale (POS) system to manage merchandise flow. Use mechanical aptitude for use in product assembly. In some locations this position is expected to perform as the home delivery driver or assist the driver in deliveries.
Inventory: Notify manager, supervisor or lead of inventory discrepancies found during inventory counts, receiving, picking, staging, and loading process to maintain inventory accuracy. Resolve basic and intermediate inventory discrepancies and report to manager, supervisor or lead.
Other: Perform work as directed by supervisors in service, home delivery driver, deliveries or inventory. Clean and maintain the facility: snow shoveling, sign set-up, trash inside and on grounds; lighting assistance. Participate in and sustain 5S and other lean initiatives as required. Participate in meetings and training sessions.

High school diploma or GED required. Post secondary education preferred.
Excellent computer skills -- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with POS system desired.Basic math skills required. Cash Handling. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication skills.
